WELCOMES YOU!

First launched at the end of 2016, this site has been creative with both brave beginner and like-minded fitness lovers in mind. It’s meant as a resource for the community, whether you are looking for a fitness routine, or are a fellow blogger, looking for information on workouts, recipes, and overall health.

If you are someone that loves trying out new workouts, is bored of the same old routine, or simply are just looking for a great place to start, then you’ve come to the right place.

This blog is a compilation of suggestions on how to lead a healthy lifestyle, from someone that’s going through the process of creating one! I get inspired a lot by my busy work schedule, so the majority of my workout suggestions are time – and budget – conscious. With that being said, it’s all just a learning process, so bear with me as I create the path that works best for me! My goal is to post new information several times a week among several different categories: Beginners Fitness, Nutrition, Women’s Fitness, and Motivation.

I started this site at the end of 2016. After years of being in a career where I had no spare time to do anything at all by working 12-14 hour days, in heels, with no real “breaks”, I needed a change. I quit my job and got into a completely new field, and in doing so, I decided I needed to do something for myself for a change. I’ve always loved the feeling of being active – whether it be on a sports team, training for a half-marathon, or just getting a sweat on at the gym, but I’d forgotten!

So 2017, here we are – this is the Year of Me, and I’d love to share it with you! My first step has been getting people on board for the journey, and so I’ve recruited a few key people in my life to help motivate and more importantly, inspire me.

I have a couple of close friends that are doing a weight loss challenge with me (more about that later), and my family, who have been incredibly supportive. My dad kick-started the journey before me and has lost over 90 pounds in a year, and I’m at 20 pounds weight loss so far as well!

Trust me – for me, it’s not about the pounds shed, although that helps – it’s about the feeling. I remember about 12 years ago being asked what my perfect weight was when I “feel at my best”. I’m now only 12 pounds away!

Anyways, enough about me! I’m excited to swap ideas with you! Feel free to follow me on Pinterest, and check out my other blog posts! I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for us!
