How To Get Back In A Workout Routine

If you are anything like me, you know how easy it is to get off track of your fitness routine by the simplest thing. Once that happens, you get caught up in an increasingly downward spiral of eating worse and working out less.

Here is my favorite fitness video to get me motivated, and 5 other things to help re-kick start your fitness routine!

COMMIT

Commit to a starting date. It doesn’t have to be tomorrow, but it could be! The thought process it that by mentally setting a starting date, or actually writing one down, you are more inclined to get back to the routine.

CELEBRATE

Celebrate your successes! It’s so easy to get down on yourself for quitting, but it’s so important to take the time to recognize goals you have already achieved. I like to draw them on a mirror, or go public to my support system, so it helps to keep me accountable, and helps to have other people share in my happiness!

SET GOALS

Set a new, SMART goal! Write it down, hold yourself accountable, and get started! Setting goals for yourself is so important when it comes to fitness journeys. It’s a great way to make sure that you continue to work towards some sort of reward, whether it be physical appearance, weight loss, or muscle gain!

Workout RoutineHYDRATE

Keep hydrated! The more water the better for keeping a healthy lifestyle. Having water throughout the day will help eliminate cravings and keeping your body as flushed of toxins as possible, for optimal workout routines.

PLAN AHEAD

Put some thought into your meals for the day, in advance, so you don’t give into your cravings! I love planning out at least one meal a day in advance (keep in mind, I only have 2 meals due to my intermittent fasting lifestyle). In order to have the best results from your workout routine, eat healthy – but most importantly eat moderately!
